Biography:
Dr. Lauren Knight is board certified through the American Board of Family Medicine and serves as a designated FAA Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) for the Texas pnahandle region. She is the Hospitalist and Trauma Medical Director and the primary care physician at Moore County Hospital District in Dumas, Texas. There she provides inpatient, emergency, outpatient, and trauma-related care to a rural and regional patient population. Dr. Knight works dilligently to supporting the aviation community by performing thorough, fair, and timely FAA medical evaluations to help pilots safely remain in the air.

Dr. Knight received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arizona and her Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training at Texas Tech Health Science Center in Amarillo, Texas.

With a strong background in acute care medicine and medical leadership, Dr. Knight is committed to applying FAA medical standards with an emphasis on safety, consistency, and clear communication. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and dogs and is proud to serve both the local community and the aviation community of the Texas Panhandle.
